My Day At The Fancy Food Show


My wife moonlights as a caterer. As such, one of her favorite yearly activities is attending the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco. For three days, she lives and breathes confections like cheeses, chips, salsas, dark chocolate, jelly beans, coffees, teas, oils, cakes, spices, and whatever else you can think of. Each day, attendees are allowed to take home one large plastic bag of samples. Of course, everyone ignores that rule. Especially on the third and last day when the vendors give away their wares rather than take pack it back up and ship it home. Though some do donate to the local food bank. But it is on this last day that I attend. And today was that day. To the left, see some of the goodies we brought home...
